Music to the Ears
For over two centuries, dignitaries and plain folk alike have ventured to Asheville, North Carolina for that sweet mountain air; it was thought to heal most ailments. Today, Asheville is a thriving cultural and resort destination, offering museums, art galleries, hiking and golf, for starters. Recently, Asheville's music scene has taken off. Local nightclubs are thriving on just about everything from bluegrass and jazz to Celtic songs and world music, and of course pop, rock and the blues. While it's been determined that mountain air is more tonic than cure, filling it with music seems to have created a healthy change.

$300 million bond referendum to build six new schools, five replacement schools, and renovate and expand 17 other campuses providing 9,225 new student seats.
